Chingy L is a writer, humorist, actress, and bottom of extraordinary ability based out of Los Angeles and Oakland, CA. Chingy’s work focuses on subjects of queer culture, female sexual expression, LGBTQ media representation, and BDSM education and has been featured at Autostraddle, Out Magazine, VICE, and Buzzfeed. She is also a much better bottom than you.
In her half a decade writing and performing for stage and screen, Chingy has collaborated with the likes of Tanya Saracho (Vida), Jamie Babbitt (But I’m a Cheerleader), Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Riverdale/Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), and Tegan & Sara. In 2018, she was a featured writer at Lambda LitFest where she wrote and starred in Domme - “Doubles”, a workplace comedy focusing on a group of queer sex workers and their personal lives. The same year, she made her directorial debut at Failed Films Festival with blood love smut, a short film exploring queer female romance and intimacy through heavy BDSM.
“Queer communities, lesbian identity, and kink lifestyles are an ever-present theme in my work for the simple reason that they matter to me and aren’t represented enough, especially not for queer women of color. None of it is from an investigative or anthropological POV, but because these are major parts of my life I enjoy exploring. It’s why I always try to infuse so much goofiness into it all: it’s my culture, so it’s mine to laugh at.” - Chingy
